So if taking multiple steps yesterday wasn't enough, my little daredevil decided she was going to climb our stairs (on her knees not feet) from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor. In what I would consider record time she climbed the 11 steps from top to bottom on her own (her father was right behind her every step of the way in case she lost her balance)and was extremely proud of herself. I was also very proud of her for making it, it was quite an accomplishment, yet not happy that she actually did it as she is way too young to be climbing the stairs. Gate to the bottom of the stairs goes up tomorrow! |

So Abby has decided to follow in her big sisters footsteps and walk at 10 months. She has been able to take a couple of steps for about a week and a half now, but tonight with some snacks as motivation she took a solid 8 steps repeatedly. God are we in big trouble now...lol! |

So here is my once a year post :-)! Most of you know that Emm came down with mono two weeks ago, it was horrible, but I'm happy to say she is her happy hyper self again.
And I found out what I am having and figured it was probably easier to post here than send an email. Emm is going to have a sister. Very excited that it's another girl. Girls are much more fun to dress. In fact I went out this weekend and bought some outfits....so much fun! |

So I have no slept in over 24 hours and am exhausted. I ended up spending over 5 hours in the Children's ER last night/this morning as Emm was having a very hard time breathing. Apparently her oxygen levels were very low (this is the 2nd time in four months now) and she has viral bronchitis which is causing her to have asthma attacks. They gave her 4 or 5 nebulizer treatments at the hospital and finally sent her home. The ER even contacted a medical goods distributor deliver a nebulizer to the house as she now has to have breathing treatments for the next several days every 4 hours (god I'll be getting no sleep for sure)and I'm guessing as there are several refills attached that she's to use it after that on an as needed basis (have to call the hospital back and claifiy why so many refils). I must say she is very good about taking the treatments so far, she doesn't mind having the tube in her face and was even sucking on the tube to take more of the medicine in. I was very proud of her as I would imagine it to be a scary thing for such a young kid. So as much as I was hoping she wouldn't come down with asthma it seems she is. I just hope that doesn't become a huge thing and stop here from being the crazy active kid that she is. |
